How long does the process take? When can I expect to be able to log on to review my asset list?
You will be given a hard copy of the inventory list and a dvd with all photos and video packaged in a professional portfolio within two weeks. At that time you will also be given your secure i.d. and password to log on to our website and make any changes to the list, including uploading photos.
Do you keep my name and address in the database?
Your name, addresses and phone numbers are not entered into the database with your inventory assets. It is virtually impossible for anyone to match up inventory asset data to names, addresses or phone numbers.
What is the Validation process you advertise?
We verify as an independent third party that the initial list of inventory items that we catalogue were in fact in place at the location of the inventory count. This does not verify ownership, but gives the insurance company validation of the list. We will verify items added to the list by the client for a small fee, with a visit to the client’s home.
What does this service cost?
In an effort to keep this service affordable, BC Home Inventory has set our price for this service at a lower level than most companies offering a similar service. The rate for up to a 1500 square foot home is $395.00*, plus an annual fee of $50.00 for database maintenance and access. Your data is safe, secure and in the event of a fire you can be assured of getting the most out of your insurance. *plus applicable taxes
